Weddings & Private Events
First Rain Farm is a thirty-seven acre property nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills just a few miles from the quaint and historic town of Nevada City, CA. Amongst the towering pines, broad black oaks, and majestic madrone, are fields of organic vegetables and berries, providing the perfect place to hold your special event. The open pastures with grazing cows, goats and chickens lends to it's charm and is the rustic farm space that you have dreamed of for your special event.
In 2018 Tim proposed to Kat and they knew that they would want to get married on the farm, so that next year they worked hard on creating the perfect wedding space. What was a fallow section of the growing field turned into a beautiful flat area to host guests, with a sloping garden overlooking the pastures and a homemade locust-post arbor made from trees on the property. Kat and Tim were married there in September of 2019 and it was a beautiful and glorious event surrounded by their loved ones. Since that day they have hosted many other weddings and events full of joy. Our guests leave gleaming from the experience of having a beautiful outdoor wedding on a working farm with such breathtaking scenery. Kat and Tim want noting more than to share this special space wih others who desire to have this type of experience. They can only hope that more and more people can leave with memories of this special place in their minds forever.
Wedding Packages:
Option A: Ceremony only up to 150 people for $1,500
Option B: Ceremony up to 150 people, reception until 12pm, next day cleanup and breakdown $4,500
Option C: Rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding on the farm, ceremony up to 150 people, reception until 12pm, next day cleanup and breakdown $5,500
Insurance, rentals and food catering are not included in these packages and will be provided by you. We offer communications, the land and help with parking. We may be able to provide farm fresh produce depending on the season.
