The cold microclimate of our land is one thing that makes our farm unique.  Due to the way air flows off the surrounding north-facing ridges and the path the creek takes through the farm, which both work to quickly cool down our site in the evenings, we have decided to not grow  most of the Summer crops. Instead, working with these conditions, we have specialized in mostly cool-season crops. Some of our specialties include Dino kale, Red Russian Kale, Rainbow Chard, Spinach, Collards, Scallions, Potatoes, Beets, and Carrots.

Direct Sales

At our farmers market booth is where you’ll find the broadest selection of our freshly picked, certified organic produce.
Nevada City Farmers Market: Mid June through November 8:30am – 12:30pm
Nevada County Certified Growers Market– Rood Center – June 3rd – October 2:30pm – 5:30pm

Grocery Stores

Briarpatch Natural Food Community Market – Starting in May and continuing through February you can find our collards, dino kale, red russian kale, bunched beets, bunched carrots, scallions and parsnips here!
Natural Selection – You might find out kale, chard, collards, and beets here!

Restaurants

Ikes Quarter Cafe -From Mid May through October we provide collards, kale, and chard for their many great dishes!
Three Forks Bakery and Brewery – From Mid May through January we’ll be supplying a mixture of vegetables including spinach, beets, kale, chard, collards, basil, and winter sweet Parsnips!
